Jump Higher Academy

Stop guessing
why you can't dunk yet.

Online jump training built on the exact order of operations that took me from cut-twice to a world record — not a feed full of random drills.

Why This Exists

Most people trying to dunk are working hard on the wrong things.

They max out squats when the problem is ankle stiffness. They jump every day when they need to recover. They fight the ball in the air when they should have picked a different finish months ago. Effort was never the issue — order was.

The Flagship Program

Get Your First Dunk

The complete path from touching rim to throwing one down. Seven modules, the mechanics most people get wrong, and an 8-week plan that builds to dunk day.

  • The honest math on your reach, the rim, and the vertical you still need
  • Whether you're a one-foot or two-foot jumper — and why the wrong one stalls you
  • The penultimate step, straight from my track career
  • What to do if you can't palm the ball
  • Strength and plyometrics in the right dose, with no-gym substitutes
  • The 8-week plan, and the dunk-day warm-up protocol

Coached By Me, Personally

I train five athletes at a time.

Not a group chat. Not a template with your name on it. Five people, a program written for each one, and me on the other end of it.

5 seats total. When they're full, the next opening goes to the waitlist.
  • A program built for you. I assess where you actually are — reach, vertical, training history, what you have access to — and write from there.
  • Rewritten every month. Based on how your body responded, not on what week the calendar says.
  • A 45-minute call each month. We review the block, break down your film, and fix what's costing you inches.
  • Film review within 48 hours. Send me a clip any time. You'll get it back marked up.
  • Direct access on weekdays. Questions get answered by me, not by a chatbot or an assistant.

Why only five? Because at ten I'd be sending templates and voice memos, and you'd get what you can already buy for $97. Five is the number where I can still write every program myself and watch every clip you send. I'd rather have a waitlist than a worse product.

Apply for a seat

$497/month · 3-month minimum. Takes two minutes. If it looks like a fit, I'll set up a call.

If you're under 18, please have a parent or guardian fill this out with you — I'll need to speak with them before we start. Jump training is demanding; check with a doctor first, especially with any history of knee, ankle, or back injury.

Who It's For

This is for you if…

  • You can touch rim, grab rim, or you're close
  • You'll train 3–4 days a week for 8 weeks
  • You want a plan instead of random drills
Who It Isn't For

Probably not for you if…

  • You're looking for an overnight fix
  • You won't train landing before jumping higher
  • You're a long way from touching rim — start with the At-Home Blueprint
Straight Answers

Questions I get constantly.

How long until I dunk?

Honestly, it depends on how far you are and how consistently you train. Module 1 has you calculate a realistic target instead of guessing. Some people are 4 inches away, some are 14 — the plan is the same, the timeline isn't. I won't promise you a dunk, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does.

I'm 5'9". Is this pointless?

No. Height sets your standing reach, not your ceiling. Plenty of people under six feet dunk. The course starts by showing you exactly what your gap is.

I'm in my 30s or 40s. Too late?

Later, not too late. You'll need more warm-up and more recovery, and the program covers how to adjust.

Do I need a gym?

No. Every strength lesson includes a bodyweight substitute.

What if I can't palm the ball?

There's a whole lesson on it. Most first dunks happen with a lob or a bounce to yourself.

Is jump training safe?

It's demanding. I teach landing mechanics before anything explosive and build volume gradually. As with any training program, check with a doctor first — especially with a history of knee, ankle, or back injury.

How do I get access?

Checkout and course delivery run through Teachable. You'll get an account, lifetime access, and every future update to the program.

Who's Teaching

I got cut. Twice.

I wasn't tall and I wasn't the athlete anybody was watching, so I walked over to the high-jump pit instead. That turned into a scholarship to UCLA, two All-American finishes in the triple jump, the 2012 Olympic Trials, and eventually a world record dunking on an 11'8" rim. I've performed with the Harlem Globetrotters, torn my ACL and come all the way back — and for the last seven years I've taught PE and coached track and field at Bullard High School with a master's in Kinesiology. I don't just dunk. I teach.
